Gift in your will
A bequest in your will or living trust — a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or what remains after other gifts.
How To Help
A planned gift to the Grand Forks Parks & Recreation Foundation supports the parks, programs, and people of our community for generations.
Why planned giving
A planned gift is a gift you arrange today that takes effect in the future — most often through your will or estate plan. Planned gifts can support park renovations, scholarships, and the ongoing work of the Foundation for years to come.
Common ways to give
There are several vehicles for planned giving — your financial advisor or estate attorney can help you pick the one that fits your goals.

Name the Foundation as a beneficiary of an existing policy, or designate a new policy specifically for the Foundation.
Name the Foundation as a beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k), or other qualified plan — often the most tax-efficient legacy gift.
A charitable remainder or lead trust that provides for both your heirs and the Foundation, with potential income-tax benefits.
